Will I get
worse service if I'm farther from the Antenna?
High speed wireless Internet is different from other forms of
high speed access. The speed of the wireless connection will not
lower (diminish) with added distance. If your business or residence
is within the "line of sight" of the antenna (meaning
there are no obstructions between the two locations), you should
get the same speed regardless of where you are located (in or
out of town).
How is wireless
different from Satellite Internet?
Differences vary on how the wireless connection is fed to the
internet. The disadvantage of Satellite Internet is slower upload
speeds and latency (due to use of telecommunications satellites
in Earths orbit).
Will my connection
be lost periodically?
It is possible that the connection may be
lost at times due to equipment failure, extreme weather conditions
or if the connection between the community and the Internet at large
have problems.
Is there a
restriction on the number of hours I can use?
No. Wireless Internet access to your computer
is always on, always connected. So there are no time limits or restrictions
on how long you can use it. We don't disconnect users because of
idle time and there are no time-out restrictions on our service.
Your monthly rate paid allows for unlimited time used.
Is there
a maximum upload and download limit per month?
Yes. The maximum combined upload
and download limit per month is 9 GB total. Overage charges will
apply for combined traffic uploads and downloads of over 9 GB per
calendar month, charged at $2.95 per GB plus applicable taxes, over
the 9 GB limit.
